ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has been proudly represented on the global stage as five outstanding young leaders have been selected for the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Commonwealth Trust (QECT) 100 Young Leaders Awards 2026.
The awardees from Pakistan include Joshua Dilawar, Danish Sohail, Hadiqa Bashir, Farah Gul, and Hassan Ashraf, who were chosen through a highly competitive selection process involving thousands of applicants from across the Commonwealth.
The QECT 100 Young Leaders Awards recognise exceptional young changemakers who are driving impact across five key thematic areas: education and employability, environment, food and agriculture, health, and inclusion.
These young leaders from Pakistan represent diverse and innovative approaches to addressing social challenges, contributing to community development, advancing inclusion, and promoting sustainable solutions within their respective fields.
Launched to commemorate what would have been the 100th birthday of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the initiative builds on the legacy of supporting youth leadership and empowering young people to create positive change across the 56 Commonwealth countries.
As part of the award, recipients will gain access to a global network of changemakers, along with opportunities for mentorship, capacity-building, and increased international visibility to further scale their impact.
This recognition not only celebrates individual excellence but also highlights the growing role of Pakistani youth in shaping a more inclusive, sustainable, and equitable future both nationally and globally.
