Turkish charity Yardimeli’s Pakistan chapter provides interest-free loans to 175 families

ISLAMABAD: Turkish welfare organization Yardimeli Pakistan hosted the inauguration ceremony of a microfinance project in Islamabad. In the first phase of the project, interest-free loans were distributed to 175 families hailing from different areas of Rawalpindi. Barrister Zafarullah Khan, former Federal Minister for Law graced the occasion as a chief guest.

Yardimeli started its philanthropic work in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir after the 2005 earthquake. It also established a ‘Hazrat Ayub Ansari Model Village’ village in Charsadda for the homeless after the 2010 floods.

Azad Kashmir Health Minister Dr. Ansar Abdali, Senator Pir Sabir Shah, Senator Rukhsana Zubairi, Senator Naseema Ehsan, Senator Fauzia Arshad, and General Coordinator Sajid Hussain addressed the gathering. Participants from academia, media & non-profit sectors appreciated the program and assured their full support to the organization.
