SEX OH! I am sorry. I shouldn’t have said it. Wait a minute! Why! A country with the high population growth rate considers sex a taboo! Have they devised a way to increase population without having sex or it is okay to do it just prohibited to be talked about? I think most of the readers have skedaddle till now but if you manage to read it then you are mature enough and probably want to talk about it.
The dilemma is this that most of the so-called educated youth is even unaware of the difference between Gender and Sex. Gender is What/How a girl or a boy is expected to do or behave in a society and contrary to our belief Sex is the biological differences which is natural and can’t be changed. Now the real question is Why we think in a way we are thinking and how Sex is associated with pleasure. We get married and looking for a bride our foremost criteria is beauty. Beauty pleases us. We visit beautiful places, live in beautiful homes, we eat delicious food, we wear beautiful dresses and not to mention on every second street of Pakistan a beautician is giving his/her valuable services. All to have pleasure. The sacred act of mating of the most superior creature called as Sex is performed mostly for the sake of pleasure. The problem is we want pleasure but the availability of contraceptives is quite a Mission Impossible in Pakistan due to a mentality attached with it and it is worse in rural places where there is no concept of a evil tool known as condom. Pakistan has one of the highest maternal mortality ratios in South Asia because of a confusion and misleading information by Clergies and anti-social activist. Abortion is considered no less than a blasphemy. Most of the pampered children are unwanted and it is just for a physical pleasure we bring child in a world which we can’t feed and educate and which results in poverty, unemployment, health issues, harassment et cetra. The want of pleasure is not at all a bad thing but useless money requiring marriage trends including a known curse dowry is making marriage difficult. Pakistan is a highly blessed country with the highest youth population in the world and only thing stopping it to achieve greatness and to bring back the golden ages of Muslim is the misleading facts, misquotation, misinterpretation and cherrypicked facts and blind faith of public on its leaders. We need to give good facilities, education and lifestyle to our children. If you can fulfill the need of a dozen children then its okay but destroying an innocent life for the pleasures of flesh is complete torment.
We read novels for pleasure and knowledge and this piece of writing may have pleased you but if it’s not worthy enough even a paragraph should not be written on a page ;to save trees and if we can raise our voice for a tree and if we can campaign to bring back reading books culture then why not for Sex???
