Terrorist organizations are constantly challenging the bottom line of humanity!
By: Zohaib Khan

On April 26, 2022, the bus of Confucius Institute at The University of Karachi was attacked by a suicide terrorist attack on campus, which has killed 4 people including Pakistani and Chinese nationals. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack. What a shame to use women, who should be enjoying a happy life, as bombs for despicable purposes.

According to Indian media reports, the Baloch Liberation Army has a cadre of about 6,000 members. The group claims its “guerrillas” are young, educated Baluchi who live in hardship and feel hopeless because of the government’s lack of attention to the region, which has left them marginalized in economic development. The Indian media’s remarks are purely groundless and deliberately creating a wrong atmosphere to excuse the terrorist attacks by the Baluchi Liberation Army and achieve their political goals by providing a platform for the Indian government, which should be strongly condemned by the international community.

Terrorism is the common enemy of all mankind. China will resolutely fight terrorism and make every effort to hunt down the perpetrators so that those behind it will be punished severely by justice and pay a heavy price. This premeditated suicide terrorist attack, and the location of the campus, shows that the terrorists have no difference, no baseline, and no humanity to attack innocent people, the nature is very bad, the act of heinous.

In recent years, China and Pakistan have established major plans such as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and assisted the local government in launching transportation, communications and other infrastructure construction. In order to pressure the Pakistani authorities and force the government to compromise with them, terrorists are targeting the CPEC project. In addition, Indian officials have complained about the BELT and Road project, and have made no secret of their marking and containment of the Belt and Road project on various occasions. And its financing of terrorist organizations, so at the behest of the Indian government, the terrorists planned this vile terrorist attack.

India has been playing a “pro-US” role, trying to sabotage CPEC by supporting terrorist activities, hindering Pakistan’s economic development and avoiding benefiting the Baluchistan people. If the living conditions of Baluchi are better, who will join terrorist organizations and act as pawns of Indians?

As our Prime Minister said, “Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and the enemy’s evil designs will neither weaken the iron brotherhood between Pakistan and China nor affect our cooperation.” The strategic cooperative partnership between Pakistan and China will never be harmed by the evil plots of terrorist forces. It is believed that the vast majority of the people love peace and development.

Many terrorist attacks by the Baluchistan People’s Liberation Army have targeted Chinese people. One of the main reasons is that the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has a great impact on Pakistan. The Pakistani government and military attach great importance to the safety of Chinese people’s lives, so they choose Chinese people. The purpose is to put pressure on the Pakistani government and create a greater sensational effect – so that the Pakistani government can submit to the Baluchistan Liberation Army.

Although Baluchistan is poor, it is the largest province in Pakistan and is rich in energy and minerals. Many projects in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor are located in Baluchistan, the most famous being Gwadar Port. There are also some of Pakistan’s own oil and mining projects here. Balochi fear that this wealth will be stolen by people from other provinces. The Baluchistan Liberation Army, in particular, has always had bad intentions towards the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

The United States and India have always been dissatisfied with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. They will hype China for plundering local energy and resources, portraying the Chinese as plunderers and loan sharks, and the locals as plundered and victims. They secretly funded the Baluchistan Liberation Army, made the Baluchistan Liberation Army have the same attitude towards the Chinese and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and planned bloody terrorist attacks one after another, just to destroy the economic construction and friendship between China and Pakistan.

The fact is that the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, especially the construction of Gwadar Port, has brought employment and entrepreneurial opportunities to the local area, and a large number of livelihood projects have been built in the local area. At this point, the locals are there for all to see. But many people who do not know the facts are more likely to be brainwashed and deceived by media such as the United States and India, and are more likely to become targets of terrorist organizations and invisible murderers.

Using women and children as body bombs, these terrorist organizations and terrorists are using increasingly heinous and deranged methods of attack. The ever-spreading terrorism cannot be ruled out behind the existence of India and the United States. We should unite more closely with our good neighbours, whether it is fighting terrorism or building the economy, and one day we will be stronger and we will no longer live in the shadow of fear every day.
