ISLAMABAD, Dec 21, 2018: Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) on Friday launched a ‘Made in Pakistan’ satellite into space from a site in China. The name of the satellite is PakTES-1A is an indigenously developed remote sensing satellite that weighed 285 kg.
According to sources, Pakistan’s national space agency launched a technology evaluation satellite from a launch pad in China. It has been learnt that all components of the satellite were developed by Pakistani engineers and scientists.
The news has also been confirmed by Lijian Zhao’s tweet who is Deputy Chief of Mission of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan.
