Seminar held in Islamabad to aware students about SDGs

Islamabad: Practical Platform For Champions (PPC) Islamabad Chapter in collaboration with Air University School of Management (AUSOM) & DadaBhoy Foundation organized an interactive and informational seminar on “Learning, Training & Practice of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations”.

The seminar was organized at the Auditorium of AUSOM department, Air University Islamabad. More than 70 participants attended the seminar. Mr. Muhammad Owais Awan (Founder/President PPC) accompanied by Mr. Jahanzaib Hashmi (Executive Director PPC Islamabad Chapter) & Mr. Farhan Khalid (Faculty Member at AUSOM) welcomed the Guest Speakers at the session. Mr. Zulfiqar Hameed Raja (Director Press & Social Media Office) and Miss. Aimen Ghaffar (Director Finance, Accounting & Budgeting Office) also attended the session. The Guest Speakers includes the prominent figures, Mr. Ahsan Hamid Durrani (Chairman Emerging Policy Maker Institute/ Manager Research & Strategy Icarus Incorporated Pakistan) and Mr. Saeed Yaqoob Ali Gohar (Chairman Youth Counselling & Development Network, YCDN).The ambassadors of YCDN, Miss. Hina Fatima & Miss. Kulsoom Hussain also attended the session. The session begins with the formal initiation and introduction of the seminar theme and topic in particular. The hosts Mr. Jahanzaib Hashmi & Miss. Mehreen from Air University hosted the session all well. Mr. Farhan Khalid introduced the session and presented the welcome note while Mr. President delivered the Presidential remarks during the seminar. Mr. Ahsan Hamid Durrani delivered a key-note talk on Sustainable development goals, its learning & scope. Besides that Mr. Saeed Yaqoob Ali Gohar interacted with audience with a presentation involving practice to understand the SDGs goals and techniques through a range of examples and daily life experiences. During the Question/Answer session, the participants raised a series of technical and to the point questions to clear up their minds and thinking about the SDGs concept and understanding. At the end of the session, souvenirs were presented to the Guest Speakers by Mr. President PPC and Mr. Farhan Khalid. The souvenirs exchange was made between the Dean and Faculty of Air University School of Management (AUSOM) and President PPC.
