Science Exhibition: AIS manifests practical example of versatility

ISLAMABAD: A Science Exhibition on the theme, “Earth Matters” was inaugurated at AlHuda International School, Islamabad on December 20, 2022. It featured numerous models on the sub-themes of Air Cares, Now or Never, Waste Wise, Slow Flow, Green Vibes Only and Master the Disaster. The exhibition was exhibited in two slots; morning and afternoon. The occasion was graced with the presence of honorable guests Mr. Rafique Tahir, Former Federal Directorate of Education, Mr. Irfan Nawaz Memon, DC Islamabad.

Participating with great zeal and enthusiasm, the students showed great scientific temperament. The main motive of exhibition was to integrate Islamic education with the learnings of science and technology. The awesome demonstrations of the scientific models were expected to be meaningful and easily understandable. The main goal of the Islamic exhibition was achieved by exposing the students towards the holy book of Al-Quran and Al-Hadith through recognition, understanding, contemplation, belief, piety, and noble character building.

The main objective behind the exhibition was to use catalytic and environment-friendly process without hampering the nature and utilizing the resources in the best possible way. The scientific demonstrations included various interesting models such as those on Carbon Foot Prints, Microwave Radiations, Minimalism and conversion of waste plastic into Green House for sustainable development. To add festive to the event, the food stalls were also installed to entertain the worthy guests and visitors.

It provided a platform for budding scientists to express their talent and to gain confidence. The innovative demonstrations and thoughtful explanations were given by the participants who impressed the spectators including teachers by their skillful presentations. Respectable Principal Ms. Aliya Asim significantly appreciated joint efforts of the students and the teachers of the school.

The event was a great success which was concluded with the inspirational words of Director AIS, Mr. Atif Iqbal. He highlighted the significant teaching with the motto “Quran for all; in every heart, in every hand” of the students to face the challenges of life in a broader perspective.

AlHuda International School is an Islamic system with advance educational streams affiliated with Cambridge University and FBISE. The school not only focuses on the extraordinary academic results but also on the organization of vast co-curricular activities for the physical and mental nourishment of the students. The school offers Hifz program while providing separate classes for both genders. To create the balance between the school and home environment, the school has also designed the Tarbiyah program for parents as well.

It is expected that, such activities are going to be proven as a milestone in developing positive, constructive thinking in the society. Overall, it was a knowledgeable and informative day for everyone. The feedback was also taken up for any scope of further improvement.
