RIYADH: The RCA Management organized a vibrant prize distribution ceremony at the RCA Sports Complex, drawing a large gathering of players and fans. The event celebrated the achievements of three tournaments: the RCA 100 Ball Championship, Tera System T20 Cricket Tournament, and RCA Winter Challenge Cricket Tournament. Trophies were awarded to the winning teams, while outstanding players were honored with prizes.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, setting a reverent tone for the proceedings. Nasir Abbasi, Senior Vice President of RCA, skillfully managed the organization of the event. Distinguished guests, including Mr. Faisal Al Shaghri (Director, Head of Local Real Estate Investment – Riyadh Capital), Mr. Marwan Kiswani (Business Development Manager Tera System KSA), Mr. Khalid Hariri, GM Maze Gulf, and Mr. Sultan Al Shaghri, graced the occasion. Prominent figures within the Riyadh Cricket Association, such as former Saudi Arabian national team Captain and CEO Mr. Mohammad Nadeem Babar, Sr. Vice President Mr. Nasir Mehmood Abbasi, Vice President Mr. Aashique Hussain Mughal (Head of Engineering Riyadh Capital), General Secretary Mr. Uppal Zareef, Media Coordinator Mr. Atif Amin, and other Executive Committee Members, were also present.
During his address, Mr. Mohammad Nadeem Babar expressed gratitude to the esteemed guests, sponsors, RCA Management, and attendees. In a media interaction, Mr. Nadeem Babar shared insights into the history of the Riyadh Cricket Association. He highlighted that RCA was established in 1980 under the patronage of RCA’s Patron-in-Chief, Prince Dr. General Abdul Aziz Bin Nasser Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud in Riyadh, with the aim of organizing and promoting cricket activities in the central region. Since its inception, RCA has successfully introduced the beloved sport of cricket to Saudi nationals and expatriates working in the region, earning the association a reputation as a pioneer in Saudi Arabia. As an affiliate member of the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF), RCA has nurtured the growth of junior and senior cricketers, umpires, and coaches, thanks to the support of the Saudi Cricket Federation.
Other esteemed speakers also praised the efforts of the Riyadh Cricket Association in fostering the development of cricket and pledged their unwavering support for the association’s endeavors.
