Parents are the first friends of their child

In this era of digitalization, parents have given digital gadgets like mobile phones, tablets and laptops to their children. It is a short term solution for parents to keep their children busy by giving them digital gadgets but in the long term parents are slowly losing their bond with their child. There would be no understanding between the children and the parents if parents choose to give their children digital gadgets instead of their own time which is very crucial for their child in his or her growth phase. Excessive use of gadgets may negatively affect a child’s brain on its functioning, and may even cause attention deficit, cognitive delays, impaired learning and increased impulsivity. The more the parents give their children their time, there will more understanding and attachment between them. A parent should be a child’s first best friend making their child feel comfortable to share whatever is on his or her mind so that the parent should know what they are upto, where to help their children, assure their children that they will always be there to listen to them and guide them like a good friend.
