BONN: Germany’s international broadcaster, Deutsche Welle (DW), hosted Global Media Forum 2022 on June 20 and 21, 2022 in Bonn, Germany which was attended by journalists, bloggers, and media analysts, social activists, and representatives of civil societies from around the world. The 15th edition of the DW Global Media Forum was in-person at World Conference Center in Bonn, Germany after virtual forums of the previous years due to COVID’19 restrictions.

At the opening ceremony, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock welcomed the participants of the Global Media Forum on their arrival in Germany and said she believed in freedom of the press. She added that the wars were never a guarantor of peace and hoped that the journalists and representatives of global media attending the DW Global Media Forum would play their role to highlight the Russian aggression in Ukraine.
