Kazakhstan Ambassador Praises Youth’s Role in Strengthening Ties with Pakistan

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, expressed his admiration for the role of youth in advancing bilateral relations between the two countries. Speaking at the prize and certificate distribution ceremony for an essay competition titled “Knowing Kazakhstan,” Kistafin noted that the engagement of youth in meaningful conversations might help Pakistan and Kazakhstan reach new heights of cooperation.

The competition was organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Pakistan and the Centre for Central Asia and Eurasian Studies at the Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies, as part of the 30th-anniversary celebrations of the diplomatic relationship between the two countries. Its aim was to foster a deeper understanding and stronger bilateral cooperation between the people of Pakistan and Kazakhstan, especially young students.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Kistafin shared his insights about Pakistan-Kazakhstan relations, as well as the latest updates and developments in the field. He stressed the importance of engaging youth in meaningful conversations and inviting them to share their latest ideas.

Zulqarnain Khan, a student from Bahria University Islamabad, won the essay competition and received an air ticket to Kazakhstan. Umm e Salma from the University of Sargodha secured second place and received a smartphone, while Taj Mir Khan from the University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar came in third place and received a smart tablet. Certificates were also distributed among the participants.

The event served as a platform to encourage young people to take an active role in building stronger bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kazakhstan. It also highlighted the potential for youth engagement to foster mutual understanding and cooperation between the two nations.
