ICT administration going to launch serious action against car showrooms acquiring public parkings

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory – ICT administration looks in a mood to carry out serious operation against illegal parking by car showrooms in Sector G-8 Markaz and G-9 Markaz. It was came to public notice through an announcement made on social media by Deputy Commissioner Islamabad. Quoting him, said “Operation will start on Monday In sha Allah. CDA, ICT, Police and Traffic to participate in this together.

Operations of the similar kind had already been taken by the administration in the past and parking were removed but for not more than 2 to 3 days said a citizen Jamal.

Let’s see how serious this operation would be said a trader of G-8 Markaz while talking to The Dayspring, he continued saying that car showroom owners ruined other businesses like real estate, trading and others by encroaching parking areas.

The dedicated parking areas for customers, general public and traders in major markets of the Islamabad have been encroached upon by car dealers to the extent that parts of sectors G-8, G-9, G-11, Blue Area and other markets have become no-go areas for general public due to a lack of parking space and encroachments on pavements.
