Harassment by teachers in Pakistani universities

Lately, it seems like it has become common to see new stories involving the harassment by teachers in universities. It’s a disease spreading in our society. Universities are expected to be a safe and peaceful environment for students but unfortunately in Pakistan, students get harassed by teachers every day.

Teachers in universities have unlimited authority and use their powers to exploit students of all genders. It’s a fact, students can’t speak against it and take a stand for themselves because most of the time, the university committee members are also found involved in harassing students. Most of the students have fear that if they speak, their CGPA or they might fail in the course of the teacher getting harassed by.

The government of Pakistan and other higher authorities should take a stand against it and organize numerous events on harassment by teachers. So, if a student gets harassed by the professors/lecturers, he/she would know who to approach and how to approach.
