Feminism by Nature: Exploring the Innate Equality of Genders
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter
By: Maira Nadeem

Feminism, as a socio-political movement, has played an important role in advocating the equality of females in a world historically dominated by patriarchy. There is a broader perspective to feminism that exceeds the human-made society, one that can be referred to as “Feminism by Nature.”

This perspective gives the idea that the law of gender equality is not merely a human invention but is rooted in the very basis of life itself. In this article, we will explore the concept of Feminism by Nature. From a biological and historical perspective, gender equality can be seen as the fundamental instrument of life. By nature, there is always a balance of roles, duties, and responsibilities between males and females that ensures the sustainability of species.

For example, both males and females contribute to the raising and protection of offspring. This equal sharing of roles, duties and responsibilities is indicative of an innate understanding of the significance of each gender’s contributions to the well-being of the group.

For example, female lions are often the primary hunters of their crews, showing their powers and capability, while male seahorses bear the duties and responsibility of pregnancy and caring for their offspring. These examples from the animal kingdom reveal that gender roles are not fixed but are adaptable according to the requirements of the community.

Ecology is a principle that provides another perspective on the innate equality of genders. Ecosystems derive when there is a balance between different species, each fulfilling its unique acts and roles. This can be applied to human society, where gender diversity contributes to a balanced environment.

Gender diversity in communities brings about a richness of knowledge, ideas, skills, and experiences. The collaboration of both genders enhances creativity, innovation, and the overall well-being of society.

Cooperation became a key factor in their survival and success. It is important to recognize that this cooperation extended to both genders because communities depended on the strengths of both women and men. They collaborated to earn money, gather food, protect their societies, and nurture their offspring. This cooperation was not deeply rooted in the subordination of one gender to another but in the recognition of each role played in the survival of the crews.

While there is indication of gender equality by nature, history is filled with examples of communities that did not support these principles. The rise of patriarchal systems led to the subjugation of women and the enforcement of fixed gender roles.

Feminism as a social and political movement has played a crucial role in dismantling oppressive gender norms, advocating for equality, and challenging systemic discrimination against women. It has been a basic force in restoring the innate gender equality that has been disturbed by societal constructs.

It is important to recognize that feminism is not an attack on men but a call for the recovery of the innate equality between genders.

In Conclusion, feminism by Nature mentions to us that the struggle for gender equality is not just a social or political movement but a reflection of the basic principles of life itself. The history of human evolution demonstrates that gender roles are not fixed but adaptable, and both genders are important

to the success and well-being of any society.
Feminism serves as a powerful force for restoring the balance of gender equality that is recognized in the modern world. In embracing this concept, we can work towards a society that embodies the innate equality of genders and cooperation for the benefit of all human beings.
