Bookme.pk disappoints many cricket fans desiring to watch PAKvAUS cricket series

SPORTS DESK

RAWALPINDI: Cricket fans are overwhelmed over the upcoming PAKISTAN vs AUSTRALIA cricket series but many are disappointed for not getting the tickets through Bookme.pk that is PCB’s official partner for selling e-tickets for the cricket clash. People are complaining about a technical glitch on all the variants of the Bookme application (Web, IOS and Android).

The scribe has investigated the matter himself and noted that the application shows 41 available seats for the 5th day of the first test between the two teams but when one goes on to book the seat it does not show any availability for the ticket.

The application at one stage shows the blue mark for available seats, green for already booked, yellow for selected and grey for unavailable. The application initially shows that seats are available but you find no blue marked seat in the selected enclosure.

Though most of the tickets were booked through the same application but now when few seats are left people are facing this difficulty.

The PAK vs AUS clash will begin on March 4 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, with the Test Series followed by an ODI series and conclude with a one-off T20I encounter on April 5, 2022. Not to mention that the Australian team is going to play cricket in Pakistan after 24 years! The team will be in a bio-secure bubble that will envelop them throughout their six-week stay.

This news came as a treat for cricket fans to be receiving right after the HBL PSL 7, because the Australian team last played in Pakistan in 1998, winning a three-test series 1-0 and blanking the hosts in the three ODIs. At the same time people are asking to tame the issues with Bookme management.

Rawalpindi will be featuring the first Test match from March 4th to 8th. The second Test match will be played in Karachi from 12th to 16th March while the third Test match will be played from 21st to 25th March in Lahore.

The ODI series will witness three encounters on March 29th, March 31st and April 2nd. Whilst the T20I is scheduled to be played on April 5th at Rawalpindi cricket stadium.

Only two categories are available for Rawalpindi Test matches. The PKR 500 VIP enclosures comprise Imran Khan, Javed Akhtar, Javed Miandad, and Azhar Mahmood, whereas Premium enclosures include Shoaib Akhtar, Sohail Tanvir, Miran Bakhsh, and Yasir Arafat, and the price per ticket has been fixed at PKR 100.

There will be four enclosure categories in Karachi and Lahore, the ticket prices are as follows:

  • General – PKR 100 each
  • First Class – PKR 200 each
  • Premium – PKR 350 each
  • VIP – PKR 500 each
