A-level students need help

I am a student of BSIR and today I came up with an issue which most of our O/Alevel students face, I personally faced this issue at my time too.

I am not here to criticize any organization or individual but this is just to provide acknowledgement to the authorities so they can resolve this issue so in future our brilliant minds would prefer staying in Pakistan rather than going abroad for studying.

The Inter Board Committee of Chairman that is responsible to provide Cambridge students equivalency certificate “which is a proof that O or A-level is recognized in our country” takes normally 20 to 25 days for processing. And they require the original documents which are also a bit insecure for the students.

Not only this after paying high amount of money for the CIE’s, we pay 2000 rupees as a processing fees. Which is not really friendly.

Not finished yet The universities in Pakistan don’t consider your application until you get your equivalency certificate. Now the problem is that Cambridge international examination (CIE’s) conducts bit late than matriculation examination. Now I would like to ask is it the students who made this scenario or do you think the students would be directing their selves to Cambridge board for such issues?

I would say no , this is the duty of our education board to make this situation better for students, as you have made a board for recognizing these student’s degree it means you allow this system here.

Opinion: I would urge our education board to take some good initiative for Cambridge students so they can take part in brightening our beloved Country’s name because due to late submission of documents students go to abroad so they can save their year or to not suffer with a gap year.

Kindly direct with Universities to allow students to submit their applications and with time when they get their equivalency certificate they will be submitting it.

The processing fee should be less as it’s not the problem of the students to recognize this degree of your colleges are providing this education means it should already be recognized then why to give fees for it if you still want to recognize.

Education shouldn’t be a hurdle for one because at early age students really do not focus a lot on their studies and due to this issue most of our A level students sit in home due to gap year.

You can feel that 20 days is a long period of time especially when the deadlines of admission in Universities are to be met.
