KARACHI, 2 Dec 2018: SheEarns held a celebrity and influencers brunch to publicly announce its initiative and amplify its voice for women empowerment through financial sustainability and inclusion, which will contribute towards United Nation’s sustainable development goals.
The session commenced with discussions on women empowerment moderated by Ms. Hadeel Sahal albalushi (Anchor) and concluded by Ms. Mehwish Salman Ali, Founder of SheEarns by sharing her heart-melting story of struggles and success, and the vision behind SheEarns.
Mehwish Said,“When I was struggling, there was no one to help me and my family out financially. And even today, women are being abused and are struggling the same way, as I was suffering a decade ago mainly because of financial pressures . Even after a decade and in this era of technology and media nothing has changed it seems. Therefore, I strongly belive that to solve this problem, it is extremely important to work towards their financial sustainability, so that she can support her family and fulfil her dreams without compromising her respect and dignity.. SheEarns believes that “women empowerment is human empowerment”. For empowering women practically, SheEarns is providing FREE learning and earning opportunities for women who have skills but are working on very small levels; or working from home and those who are economically underprivileged”.
“Our first step towards this is SheEarns Women In Economy Exhibition taking place on 9th December 2018 at Pak-American cultural centre Karachi, where we are providing FREE stalls to women to showcase their skills, products & services. The money earned from this exhibition will give them a confidence on their capabilities and idea of earning more while targeting right market on mass level.”, Mehwish further stated..
The major objective of SheEarns is to facilitate women who are:
• Home Based entrepreneurs
