MOU signed between Fatima Jinnah University and SSDO to engage students in achieving SDGs in Pakistan

RAWALPINDI (Our Correspondent): A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) and Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO) was signed for effective participation of youth and students in peace and sustainable development in Pakistan. The MOU was signed by Vice Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Women University Dr. Samina Amin Qadir and Director of Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO) Syed Kausar Abbas.
SDGs being the basic of social and economic development for every country became essential part of educational activities, to keep students aware of the goals and work for the community at large both the parties agreed to work together to explore the opportunities for students to build their capacity to learn the civic education, peace and social cohesion, transparency and right to information, countering violent extremism and human trafficking in Pakistan. SSDO will engage youth to work for achieving sustainable development goals in Pakistan, the students will be provided internships, mentoring and training to engage themselves for a peace building activities in Pakistan.
