GDA Launches Extensive Debris Clearance Operation in Galiyat

Abbottabad – Under the direction of Director General GDA, Mr. Shahrukh Ali, the Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) Technical Team has initiated a comprehensive debris clearance operation across Galiyat, specifically targeting the PK-37 and PK-38 regions. This strategic initiative aims to facilitate tourists visiting Galiyat, support the local community, and ease traffic congestion in the area.

The operation, executed by GDA Technical Staff Circle 2, has successfully cleared debris from the following roads: Khanaspur to Darwaza Bagla Road – 3.1 km, Bani Darwaza to Chamb Andercot Road – 8 km, Dhara Darwaza Road – 2 km, Galli Bazaar to Riala Kala Ban Longal Road – 17.2 km, Bangara to Kaneer Kas Malkot Road – 2 km, Kala Ban Village Road – 3 km, Boi Sawar Galli Road – 15 km, Arwar Road – 0.5 km, Total Distance Cleared: 50.8 kilometers.

This extensive operation underscores GDA’s commitment to ensuring safe and accessible travel routes for both tourists and locals. The cleared roads are expected to significantly contribute to a smoother travel experience during the peak season, enhancing the overall appeal of Galiyat as a prime tourist destination.

Director General Mr. Shahrukh Ali stated, “Our primary goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment for visitors and residents alike. This debris clearance operation is a crucial step in that direction, ensuring that our roads are safe and navigable.”

Notables of the area, Abdul Qayyum Abbasi, Chairman Wasim Dildar Abbasi, and others inspected the work of the GDA and lauded their efforts.

The GDA remains dedicated to maintaining the beauty and accessibility of Galiyat, ensuring that it continues to thrive as a popular tourist spot and a supportive community for its residents.
