ISLAMABAD: In a bid to promote artistic expression and therapeutic benefits, the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) introduced a monthly workshop series called “Art for Therapy.” The latest installment took place on June 18th, 2023, at the National Art Gallery, featuring a one-day porcelain workshop conducted by renowned master Kiran Ali.
The workshop attracted a diverse audience, including both children and adults, who were eager to learn the intricacies of working with porcelain and Italian dough. Kiran Ali, a skilled expert in her field, provided an overview of different materials and techniques, highlighting the versatility of porcelain as a medium for artistic expression.
Participants had the opportunity to delve into the process of creating porcelain from scratch and were guided through the various stages of molding and forming the material. Under Ms. Kiran’s guidance, attendees crafted beautiful mugs adorned with ornamental patterns and porcelain flowers, showcasing their newfound skills.
Before the workshop began, Ms. Kiran provided a captivating demonstration on how to create fun and interactive objects using porcelain.
