ISLAMABAD: Under 19 cricket team of Bangladesh has confirmed its visit to tour Pakistan, meaning that Pakistan’s U19 cricket squad will play its first official international series at home in 15 years.
Although the tour dates have not yet been revealed, it is expected that it will happen next month.
Both teams will play one four-day game and five limited-over games, all of which will take place in Faisalabad, according to a representative of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
When Bangladesh visited Pakistan in 2007 and played in Karachi, Pakistan last held an official youth series. Ahmed Shahzad, Shan Masood, Umar Amin, Imad Wasim, and Umar Akmal were the Men in Green representatives in that series.
Aspiring international players from Bangladesh included Tamim Iqbal, Rubel Hossain, Dolar Mohammad, and Mohammad Mithun.
According to experts, the players of the current season of the Pakistan Junior League (PJL) will also have the chance to represent Pakistan during the U19 series against Bangladesh.
