We will be saying farewell to 2018 in a matter of few weeks. While this year has been quite the entertainer, do you know what the B-Town has in store for us in 2019?

  1. Super 30
    Release Date: Jan 25 | Dir: VikasBahl | Cast: Hrithik Roshan, Mrunal Thakur
    Super 30 is a biopic based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar and his educational programme Super 30 which gave under privileged students an opportunity to study at reputed Indian institutions. This will be Hrithik’s first very first attempt at a biopic and critics are very keen on how the outcome would be.
  2. Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi
    Release Date: Jan 25 | Dir: Krish | Cast: KanganaRanaut, SonuSood, AnkitaLokhande, VaibhavTatwawaadi, Atul Kulkarni
    After KanganaRanauts’s controversial allegations against Hrithik, she will be going head to head once again with her long awaited movie releasing on the same day as Hrithik’s Super 30.
    The movie is based on the life of Queen Laxmibai (born as Manikarnika) who bravely fought against the British during the rebellion of 1857. The teaser was well received by her fans and the excitement for its release keeps growing.
  3. Kesari
    Release Date: Mar 21 | Dir: Anurag Singh | Cast: Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra, Mir Sarwar, Ashwath Bhatt, Pawan Malhotra, Rana Ranbir, Mohit Raina, Vipin Sharma
    Akshay Kumar stars as Sergeant Ishar Singh who was a part of the British India Contingent stationed at an army post with 21 Sikh soldiers who fought an invading army of around 10,000 Afghans at the Battle of Saragarhi.
    Akshay is known for his portrayal of heroic characters and his recent choice of movies has only confirmed that his movies will not disappoint the viewers. So far, only the poster for the movie has been released.
  4. Kalank
    Release Date: Apr 19 | Dir: Abhishek Varman | Cast: Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha
    The most awaited aspect of the movie would be to finally watch Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt starring together in the screen after 25 years. Set during the struggle of partition in India in the 1940s this movie was first conceptualised by Karan Johar and his father YashJohar 15 years ago.
    Madhuri’s character was originally set to play by Sridevi until her untimely tragic death.
  5. Brahmastra
    Release Date: Aug 15 | Dir: AyanMukherji | Cast: Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, AkkineniNagarjuna, Mouni Roy, Dimple Kapadia,SauravGurjar
    Karan Johar’s trilogy Brahmastra is the talk of the town and not only because of love birds Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor working together it’s also because of the intriguing storyline which said to be a romantic fairy tale in a supernatural format.
    The shooting for the movie is currently ongoing and we are yet to learn about the characters or further details about the story.
